Results from first round of the Doncaster Fishing Centre's Silver Fish Pairs League being held at Willowgarth Fishery, Arksey, Doncaster..

Finally up and running after having to cancel first two matches due to bad conditions. Weather was cold and bright we all had to break half inch of ice and it fished hard.

Green pike wire is a top quality stainless steel braid with an ultra thin nylon coating. This makes it extra smooth and improves durability.

Pike rigs can be made up by the traditional twisted wire method and the twist sealed in place by melting and fusing the nylon coating over a low flame.

Alternatively, slim crimps one size up on those recommended for Drennan 7 strand can be used. For strongest joints flatten crimp in three central places avoiding either end.
