Pellet Feeder Float

Revolutionary pellet floats made specifically for carp fishing up in the water. The design is protected by a patent application.

They are so easy to use and allow you to bag up in the summer. Attach a hook length with a swivel to your main line and place a small shot above this to trap the float onto the line. You then load the feeding chamber by sliding it up and packing in slightly soaked feeder pellets; the release time will vary dependant upon how firm you press the pellet feed into the chamber. Cast in and wait for the magic - the feed is gradually forced up like a volcano and trickles down over your hook bait.

Simply soak your hard pellets to make them a little soft, or buy pre-made soft pellets at your tackle shop. Then push one onto the spike.

This system allows a pellet or particle to be presented in advance of the hook. The spike holds the pellet firm, even on a rigorous cast. Remember to bury the eye of the spike into the pellet, snip back the length if it protrudes.

When fishing for carp there has always been the problem of the carp feeling the hook and immediately rejecting the bait. This is why specimen anglers nearly always use a "hair rig". This allows the bait to be mounted in advance of the hook, and, therefore, the carp does not feel the hook when it initially mouths the bait. The same principle is applied to these match carp rigs, but with lower diameter lines and smaller hooks, making these ideal for match carp lakes and fish in the 2-lb - 10-lb range. The bait is sucked up by the carp with the hook following which means you get more bites and catch more fish.

Push one of the swivels through a shock bead until the eye of the swivel protrudes. Thread single strand of elastic through the centre tube of the feeder, stretch this strand very tight by holding the two ends of elastic trapped in your hand, being careful to leave one end of the elastic longer.

Thread this long end of elastic through the eye of the swivel protruding from the shock bead, then thread the line end of elastic back down the centre tube of the feeder.

Simply thread on another swivel and shock bead and knot the elastic ends together. You can set the tension dependant upon where you tie the knot.
