The bullet shaped end acts as a simple self-centering device, making joint location so much easier.

Not only is shipping speeded up, but virtually all ferrule chipping and damage are eliminated.

Nose cone colour coding helps with easy identification of sections.

By effectively sealing one end, nose cones act as buoyancy aids and help prevent sections from sinking. With the smaller diameter nose cones weighing as little as half a gram, no appreciable forward weight is added to the pole. Please email size required so that we may check stock position.

If loose, nose cones need a wrap of waterproof tape or a dab of superglue for permanent fixing. If tight, slit the next of the nose cone part way, or cut across the base at an angle to help ease the fit.

Green pike wire is a top quality stainless steel braid with an ultra thin nylon coating. This makes it extra smooth and improves durability.

Pike rigs can be made up by the traditional twisted wire method and the twist sealed in place by melting and fusing the nylon coating over a low flame.

Alternatively, slim crimps one size up on those recommended for Drennan 7 strand can be used. For strongest joints flatten crimp in three central places avoiding either end.
